York Personal Support is registered with the Care Quality Commission and is committed to providing the best service for our Service Users. We ensure at all times that the correct quality assurance procedures are in place.
Successful applicants for PA positions are vetted through CV’s and interviews to ensure they are suitably experienced and qualified for their support role.
Before commencing employment PAs are required to provide three written references and we complete an enhanced DBS certificate check.
All staff receive a code of practice with a full induction and on going training. Specific training needs are identified during employment and appropriate training provided. York Personal Support co-ordinate, monitor and maintain regular contact with all employees and provide them with insurance and ID cards.
To monitor employees work, regular formal and informal contact is made with each Service User in order to obtain feedback regarding their level of satisfaction with the service provided.
Throughout the course of the year feedback questionnaires are sent to all Service Users and employees and results scrutinised to maintain standards and strive for improvement.
Testimonials from our service users are evidence of our high sandards and personal approach.
“I really enjoy [my PA’s] company. She is very knowledgeable across many areas. She is flexible and adaptable.”
“I think that [my Mother’s] PA has been absolutely wonderful. I like her a great deal. She is a totally empathetic, agreeable helper, though able to say what she thinks and when she disagrees. I almost feel reliant on her company, never mind the help that she gives so reliably and energetically.”
“I also just wanted to let you know how well the arrangements are working with [our PA]. She is a lovely girl and [my daughter] is very happy to have her as her PA. She takes the time to listen to [my daughter] and is very in tune with her. [My daughter] says she feels like she is going out with a friend when they are together, and her confidence is growing as a result.”
